Third Place and Edible Garden

Founded in 2020, the association has expanded its activities over the past three years—notably thanks to the hiring of its staff member and support from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. 

A la Motte has been awarded the “third places” label—a valuable asset that has largely enabled the association to establish itself and become a leading third place on a regional scale.

  “La Motte de chez nous is a nourishing, mixed garden—a true space for collective exploration, encounters, and the sharing of knowledge—that fosters nature in all its diversity.

A future “edible forest,” this garden embodies the spirit of the place: respect for nature, biodiversity, food self-sufficiency, and natural rhythms. These are principles inherent to the now global permaculture movement.

· Community greenhouse: it’s here! The association has found its community greenhouse, which allows us to care for seedlings and grow certain vegetables in a warm environment… 

In partnership with the Les Herbes Folles nursery in Saint-Loup, one of the garden beds will be dedicated to growing aromatic and medicinal plants
