It was in 2020 that these ideas led to the creation of the Tiers Lieu Paysan de la Martinière, a natural progression for a place that had already been dedicated to the “third space,” community, and sharing for 15 years.
In 2021, the Tiers Lieu Paysan de la Martinière received the Fabrique de Territoire certification and is now working on a regional scale to become a resource center, a hub for knowledge and experimentation, to foster a new generation of actors in the fields of agriculture and food.
Activities:
- Community gardens for learning by doing, with permaculture at the heart of the approach
- A fablab is a space that brings together machines (digital or otherwise), people who know how to use them, and others who do not. These spaces prioritize learning through practice and aim to foster the autonomy of their users.
- La Martinière hosts and organizes workshops and seminars for people who want to take a break and reconnect with the land. We also support those wishing to take their first steps in agriculture.
