Description

Located 4 km from Craon, the town of Livré-La-Touche has a population of 756.
This small village in the Mayenne department has a restaurant, a school, and an active community of organizations, reflecting a vibrant and close-knit rural community.
It was in this context that Le Touche @ Tout emerged, a rural third place conceived by a local resident, Coralie Croissant, to foster creativity, a sense of community, and the sharing of knowledge

A participatory and creative third place

Founded in 2022, Le Touche @ Tout is a non-profit organization run by one staff member and 12 volunteers. Spanning 100 square meters, the space welcomes over 250 participants annually for a variety of workshops and events:

  • Sewing
  •   Painting
  • DIY
  • Laughter yoga
  •   teen nights
  •   book readings
  •   concerts
  •   or nature outings.

The association also organizes wellness workshops, intergenerational activities, and festive gatherings, strengthening bonds among residents.

Support from Épopée Villae enables the creation of a space dedicated to knowledge sharing and training. This space will house two major complementary areas:

  •   a digital space, equipped with adjustable tables and chairs, an aluminum cabinet, laptops, and videoconferencing equipment, for organizing introductory workshops, conferences, or training sessions.
  •   a creative space, equipped with sewing machines, sergers, laser cutters, and cutting mats, to promote artisanal creation, the transmission of know-how, and intergenerational learning.

All equipment is purchased responsibly from local suppliers or secondhand to minimize environmental impact.

The project will promote social diversity, access to training in rural areas, and the reduction of digital inequalities.

It will also encourage the sharing of tools, repairs, and the creation of new connections between residents, associations, and artisans.
