Algae exhibit remarkable biodiversity; over millions of years of evolution, they have had to adapt to various environments and sometimes extreme living conditions, resulting in a wealth of metabolites that are valuable for a wide range of applications (agriculture, livestock farming, water treatment, biomedical applications, biofuels, etc.).

They grow rapidly, among the fastest in nature (up to 30% per day for hundreds of species!)

Together, microalgae and macroalgae produce 50% of the Earth’s oxygen and play a vital role in reducing CO2 in the atmosphere

Ex: Ice creams are formulated without synthetic additives. Algae fibers naturally stabilize the ice cream without altering its taste

Most of these products offered to consumers are the result of a collaborative effort between farmers, livestock producers, growers, processors, and distributors.
