These plastics carry endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, and other pollutants that put pressure on ecosystems.
They pose a threat to marine biodiversity, and due to the food chain links between species, their effects on human health are undeniable.
The educational tour in the PACA region
To better combat the proliferation of marine debris, E7C is organizing an educational tour for schoolchildren, the general public, and local stakeholders—including industry and political leaders—to raise awareness about plastic pollution in marine environments.
The pre-summer period is ideal for engaging with the French public at the seaside. People gather there to enjoy all it has to offer. Relaxed and receptive, this is a prime opportunity to raise their awareness, allowing them to grasp the full scale of the crisis.
