Founded in 2011, La Forêt Nourricière is dedicated to advancing permaculture in temperate climates and supporting the transition toward humanistic and ecological values through research and the sharing of knowledge.
Our goal is to promote and practically experiment with sustainable ways of life and development for the environment, the local economy, and people, in order to create autonomous and resilient ecosystems.
From forest garden design and fruit hedges to permaculture vegetable gardens, as well as the healing of inner wounds, authentic communication based on fundamental human needs, positive conflict management, collaborative governance, eco-construction, and energy self-sufficiency, our mission is to build a better world that respects the needs of “living beings.”
At La Forêt Nourricière, four activities coexist:
Research into the synergies and needs of plants and humans.
The sharing of knowledge through in-person and online training, articles, videos on our YouTube channel, the map of forest gardens, and the network of friends of La Forêt Nourricière.
Project support provided by the design office and training programs.
The exclusive publication of books, videos, and educational materials that are original and unavailable within this “leisure and consumer society,” as they are not profitable according to the standards of publishing marketing. The results of our research are unique.
