Some examples of outreach booths for the general public:

  • raising awareness about waste reduction and alternatives to single-use items;
  • home composting and community composting;
  • reduction and integrated management of yard waste;
  • alternatives to taking items to the recycling center and “shredding everything”;
  • solutions to combat food waste.

Educational
Gardens
Since January 2020, Humus & Associés, Partageons les Jardins, and the Jardiniers de Tournefeuille association have been developing a zero-waste garden at the Plaisance-du-Touch recycling center. This project, sponsored by the DECOSET joint association, aims to raise public awareness about green waste management. It stems from a desire to relieve the strain on recycling centers, which are currently overwhelmed. The goal: no green waste leaves my garden! The zero-waste garden offers solutions for turning your plant waste into a resource.

The workshops organized as part of this partnership take place right in the garden. Participants learn techniques, simple steps, and tips for making the most of their garden waste. These workshops are open to everyone upon registration.
