Description

Precious Plastic France is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring together and support the network of French organizations working to reduce plastic pollution and aligned with the Precious Plastic movement.

What is Precious Plastic? It is a global community of plastic recyclers, based on a model of open-source sharing of knowledge and techniques.

Its goal is to make plastic waste recycling accessible to everyone using low-tech machines that are easy to implement at the local level. The aim is to ensure that recycling takes place everywhere, within local communities, so that no more plastic ends up polluting the oceans.

We foster a collaborative approach to put an end to plastic pollution. In 2020, Precious Plastic in France is the most developed national community, with around thirty projects spread across the country.

That is why we are the first in the world to come together to accelerate our movement. We ensure the proper use of the “Precious Plastic” brand and uphold its values throughout France.

As a key player in the movement, Plastnat implements this approach through:

  • The manufacture of products made from recycled plastic (see our eco-friendly birdhouses, recycled plastic furniture, etc.)
  • Educational workshops to raise environmental awareness
  • The use of low-tech recycling machines for local production

Join the movement!
We’re developing communication initiatives and partnerships to help grow the community.

We share management and logistics tools to strengthen cooperation among workshops and support the growth of each organization.

We participate in events as representatives of our various members.

Currently comprising 18 entities—including 9 nonprofit organizations and 9 businesses spread across the country—we aim to bring together thousands of micro-factories to transform plastic waste into attractive and sustainable products.
