THE PROJECT IN A NUTSHELL ∗
Located in a former Petite Ceinture train station that has been renovated into a community space, La REcyclerie aims to raise public awareness of eco-friendly values in a fun and positive way.
THE 3 Rs = Reduce – Reuse – Recycle
Collaborative initiatives and “do it yourself” are the values that guide the venue in its design, programming, and food offerings.
BY THE NUMBERS: EVERY YEAR, AT LA RECYCLERIE
We are proud to contribute to the development of a more sustainable society and to share our values to help replicate projects like ours across France and around the world.
In particular, we have supported two third-places (L’Oasis de Niamey in NIGER and the Baobab in Durban, SOUTH AFRICA) to address the challenges faced by local communities and populations.
The recycling center also offers:
- A café-cafeteria serving homemade cuisine made with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, all while minimizing waste as much as possible.
- The Recyclerie’s Urban Farm brings nature to nearly 1,000 square meters, thereby promoting the development of ecological corridors.
- The René Workshop: Drop off or pick up your repairs (max. 2 items), borrow tools, or do some DIY on-site
