The association’s mission is to develop and promote initiatives aimed at the region’s ecological transition.

The association’s strength lies in its networked structure, with members working in diverse and complementary fields such as Environmental and Sustainable Development Education (ESDE), culture, training, agriculture, shellfish farming, fishing, biodiversity, science outreach, and outdoor sports.

Within the CPIE Bassin de Thau (CPIE BT), network members jointly carry out projects for the Thau region and the Occitanie coastline centered around six main missions

· Supporting local communities

· Developing & sharing resources

· Training & advising stakeholders

· Monitoring the environment

· Raising public awareness and educating the public

· Connecting stakeholders

Each year, the association reaches more than 40,000 people through its various projects.
