Vent d’Ouest is an association of residents committed to the ecological transition of Caen’s southwestern neighborhoods (Haie Vigné, Saint-Ouen, Venoix, Beaulieu).
OUR INITIATIVES
La Recyclette is the community hub for reuse in the southwest neighborhoods of Caen.
It is a welcoming space for sharing materials and know-how that allows everyone to avoid buying new items by learning to repair and share everyday objects.
"Eco-Solutions Workshops for Everyone" is an action-research project led by Vent d'Ouest, focusing on low-tech solutions to improve home comfort while reducing energy costs.
For 9 months, from November 2024 to June 2025, a group of 15 residents will explore energy-related issues in their homes, select, create, and test simple, practical solutions on a daily basis to reduce their energy needs while maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature.
