PASSERELLES & COMPETENCES aims to:
● to promote and develop skills-based volunteering,
● to serve as an active intermediary between any organization (hereinafter referred to as a “partner organization”) seeking specific skills and any individual seeking to contribute their skills to community service projects,
● to foster a sense of solidarity among our fellow citizens by offering support assignments carried out alongside their regular activities, outside of their working hours.
Within P&C, there are mission coordinators known as “Passerelles.”
P&C has about twenty branches and approximately 350 Passerelles, who ensure that needs are understood and that missions are monitored.
Passerelles et Compétences is committed to:
● Offer assignments within charitable organizations that match the volunteer’s skills and can be carried out alongside a professional job, outside of working hours. These assignments, supported by a “Passerelle” at the outset, are initially limited in duration and scope and may continue at the convenience of both parties, without Passerelles et Compétences needing to intervene.
● Inform the volunteer, prior to the start of the assignment, of the various details it holds regarding the assignment.
● Ensure that the assignment proceeds under the conditions initially agreed upon or in accordance with the roadmap established between the association and the volunteer.
● Check in with the volunteer regarding their satisfaction at the end of the mission.
To serve as a bridge between these needs and these experts, a concept we have pioneered and developed since 2002
