The Association for Assistance with DIY Solar Power Installation (3aPV) was founded in October 2021 by renewable energy enthusiasts along the Durance Valley.
We operate in the western part of the PACA region.
Our goals:
· To share DIY solar installation know-how, enabling everyone to install solar panels on their own roofs through participatory projects, following training in technical skills and regulations.
· To assess the feasibility of projects and support self-build projects with the help of the association’s specialists.
· Make all information on photovoltaic installations available to its members.
· Promote the use of solar energy to a wider audience in various ways.
If you live in the western part of the PACA region, we can assist you with your photovoltaic project:
1- Join our association to be covered by our insurance throughout all stages of your project. (cost: €10)
2- Attend one of our training sessions to learn the regulatory and technical basics of a photovoltaic installation. (cost: €30)
3- If you wish to proceed with installing a PV system on your roof or on the ground, we will assist you with the administrative procedures and the organization of your project. Additionally, we offer you rates negotiated with our solar equipment suppliers.
4- You participate for one day in a member’s project site to fully understand the technical aspects of a PV installation so you can apply them to your own project.
5- You will carry out your installation with the help of other members of our association; it will then be inspected by an RGE-certified installer and CONSUEL. Your PV system will be connected by ENEDIS to the public power grid, and you will begin generating your own kWh.
6- You will automatically join the 3aPV “User Club” to monitor the performance of your PV system by comparing it with other systems in the region. This requires that your inverter be connected to your home’s internet router and that you submit the production data file every three months.
