The LUS association ("light" in Provençal) was founded in June 2016 by a group of former students from the University of Montpellier’s master’s program in “Ecological Engineering and Biodiversity Management.”
The association now has nearly 100 members from all walks of life: professional naturalists, ecologists, students, enthusiasts, and those simply curious. About twenty volunteers actively work on carrying out the various projects led by the association.
The association’s overall objective is to bring together a team of skilled volunteer naturalists and ecologists, as well as other nature lovers.
The formation of this team will enable the implementation of research projects, the conservation and promotion of natural heritage, as well as education on the environment and sustainable development.
