Globally, more than 30% of food intended for human consumption never even reaches our plates. At the same time, millions of people cannot afford to feed themselves adequately.
Products are not brought to market, either because they do not meet imposed cosmetic, physical, or even chemical standards, or because they are surplus production.
Re-Bon enables volunteers to collect fruits and vegetables destined for disposal directly from the fields at farms in Loire-Atlantique and northern Vendée. These products are then redistributed to local food banks.
