The Recyclerie d’Anduze, a nonprofit association under the French Law of 1901, is an open space for people to meet and exchange ideas about creativity, where discarded items are reused, repurposed, or transformed. It is located near the Anduze recycling center.
All our activities are rooted in “upcycling,” and it is through this process that we give these materials a new identity in the form of unique creations. This is our way of contributing to waste reduction.
Founded in 2004, La Recyclerie brings together artists and artisans who are all committed to reuse. It is supported by a team of volunteers with diverse skills and led by artist-artisans and certified program coordinators. Its cultural and social mission is rooted in a solidarity economy model.
Its stated goal is to inspire “the desire to learn how to make things” through a range of open workshops and training programs.
A new, young, and dynamic team leads the board of directors and the executive committee, whose ambition is to harness the talent of the young creators and facilitators who make up the organization to develop this space for all local audiences—children, youth, and adults—as well as social and cultural organizations and educational institutions.
Partnerships are being developed with other organizations that share similar goals to ensure the long-term viability of this space, which is necessary and essential to the social and cultural life of Anduze and its surrounding area.
