Description

Talking, debating, sharing, and exchanging ideas to learn, understand, and integrate are the concepts we need to continue moving toward a future adapted to the challenges of our century: climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, and social justice.

These are the very issues that guide us at L’Ile des Possibles.

We aim to reach as many local residents as possible to raise their awareness and guide them on an inspiring path toward healing the Earth and restoring our connections with one another and with all living things. :

Regeneration.
This concept is what drives us at L’Île des Possibles. We are part of the national Open Lande project, which advocates for a Regenerative Economy by supporting the emergence of projects with a positive impact.

Who are we?
We host awareness-raising workshops on transition issues that are open to everyone and free of charge.

Most of these workshops are held in the evenings at The Island to reach as many people as possible.

From cooperative workshops and storytelling sessions to lectures and film screenings, we strive to continually enrich our program to offer you meaningful, diverse, and transformative activities.

We have one goal: to embark together on the path toward a regenerative economy to build a sustainable and desirable future.

Our diverse initiatives enable citizens to:

  • Advance their career paths toward impact-driven professions through the “Transition Careers” program (meetings with committed professionals, career guidance workshops, workshops for entrepreneurs, job listings, inspiring roundtables, career testimonials, etc.);
  • Consume better and more affordably through the circular economy (repair corner, solidarity flea market, clothing upcycling, making household products, etc.) with “Circular Weeks”;
  • Raise their children’s awareness of environmental health issues while having fun (activities and a board game designed in collaboration with Bioviva);
  • Embark on an adventure and stay with local residents to reinvent ways of traveling and building community through “Services Utopistes Occitanie”;
  • Strengthen their connection to nature (renaturation projects, bird-watching workshops, etc.).

We work directly with dynamic and committed communities, such as the Open Lande Community, The Island, the Atelier du Déclic, Les Shifters, and more…

And our projects are supported by public and private partners: the Occitanie Region, the Montpellier Metropolitan Area, France Travail, APEC, Agence des Transitions, ADEME, ISIA, La Fabrique des Possibles, Service Ecusson Vert, and more…
