Description

Robin Hood is a nonprofit organization recognized as being of public interest. Founded in 2019, it operates according to the principles of nonviolence to combat the rampant industrialization of our forests and the resulting clear-cutting. Based in the Pilat region, the organization promotes a model of sustainable management for living forests and enables each of us to participate in this project.

The purpose of this association is to protect humanity and its environment at the local, regional, national, and international levels, and to promote ecological education among the public. It brings together individuals and organizations who wish to contribute to this goal through all forms of reflection and nonviolent action. This goal includes, in particular, the defense of endangered species and biodiversity, the preservation of terrestrial, geological, aquatic, and marine environments, the protection of sites and landscapes, the rational, equitable, and sustainable management of natural resources of all kinds, and the defense of communities.

We do not accept the industrial model imposed upon us. We advocate for living forests rather than “fields” of trees. This is why we purchase forests to demonstrate, by example, that a model of sustainable management is possible.

  • - Purchase of 2.5 ha in Véranne
  • - Purchase of 8.4 ha in Saint Chamond
  • - Purchase of 5 ha in La Versanne
  • - Purchase of 2.1 ha in Véranne

PROJECT: Our goal is to acquire 100 hectares of forest in the Pilat region. The plots we are seeking must, if possible, meet the following criteria:

  • at least 4 hectares in size,
  • registered as forest land,
  • located in municipalities where we do not yet have a presence,
  • if possible, with biodiversity significance.
