Promoting environmentally friendly beekeeping

The association’s mission is to promote sustainable beekeeping while respecting and even fostering entomological biodiversity and its ecosystems.

To this end, it provides training in sustainable beekeeping practices, particularly from a health perspective; it houses bee colonies belonging to certain members within shared apiaries; and it shares and exchanges scientific and technical knowledge about bees and their environment. The association facilitates the sharing of equipment. It participates in activities and educational initiatives for children and adults

Our activities:

• ITSAP basic theoretical beekeeping training program via video conferencing
• Work at the teaching apiaries, health monitoring, safety. Mentors will supervise groups of up to four people, either in pairs or alone, to examine at least one colony, ensuring a balance in beekeeping knowledge levels. Active members may have their own colonies housed and managed by the Apivet83 association within its teaching apiaries, up to a limit of two colonies per member.

So-called “consumable” supplies are managed and covered by the association, particularly for annual frame replacements, feeding products, and honey bottling equipment
