Since Ressourceries and Recycleries are affected by decisions made at the national level (e.g., the AGEC law or policies supporting Structures for Integration through Economic Activity), the RNRR carries out advocacy efforts aimed both at ensuring that the specific characteristics of resource centers and recycling centers are taken into account in these decisions and at ensuring that new mechanisms—particularly funding mechanisms— are put in place to support their activities (e.g., the Reuse Fund).
Raising the profile of resource centers and recycling centers at the national level, developing a comprehensive training program for careers in the social reuse sector, supporting project leaders in regions not covered by a Regional Association…: the RNRR’s other missions adhere to the principle of subsidiarity.
Founded in 2000, the Network is a collective of resource centers and recycling centers—associations rooted in local communities—working to build an alternative to overconsumption
and foster solidarity. For over 20 years, the National Network of Resource and Recycling Centers has brought together grassroots actors, associations, and local authorities. It has established missions that all share a central objective: to make Solidarity-Based Reuse organizations key players in the ecological and social transition that society needs.
