Velella is an organization dedicated to the study of the marine environment, with the goal of establishing partnerships to launch marine ecology research projects, developing scientific protocols tailored to citizen science, and fostering connections between the research community and the general public through outreach.

Combating plastic pollution in the oceans

- Organizing beach cleanups

- Upcycling is a way to create value by recovering plastic waste and using it as raw material to create new sustainable objects

- “Let’s Clean Up the Oceans” is a marine debris recovery program in collaboration with the fishing industry in France

Protecting marine biodiversity

- The Scattered Islands (in the Indian Ocean), sentinels of ocean evolution: In this context, your donations will help ensure:

• The construction of a network of “sentinel” stations for monitoring and studying the marine ecosystems of the Scattered Islands
• The collection, analysis, and publication of scientific monitoring data
• The creation and dissemination of communication materials on a national scale 

- Project to protect the coral reefs and mangroves of Mayotte and French Guiana
