Our movement and our goals:
A young philanthropic movement launched in 2022 by the RTE, SNCF, Domorrow, Mobivia, Ceetrus, and Fondation de France foundations, the Tilt Movement aims to support associations in their ecological transition efforts.
Through a collective philanthropy initiative, we work to accelerate the impact of philanthropy in support of these transitions.
The observations that spurred us into action...
=> Support for the transition of the nonprofit sector is lacking: there are few structures and specific mechanisms tailored to the sector’s value chains. Furthermore, very often, nonprofits lack the necessary budgetary resources to address this issue.
=> 8 of the 9 planetary boundaries will soon be exceeded. The reality is clear, and to meet the immense challenge ahead, we must all act to transform our models.
=> In France, only 7% of philanthropic funding goes toward so-called environmental causes.
Time for action...
In light of these findings, we are convinced that the philanthropic ecosystem has the potential to act more effectively in the service of life and the planet, and to become a powerful driver of transition.
#Accelerating the impact of philanthropy in support of transitions.
Our shared dream...
The issues of climate, planetary boundaries, and transitions are integrated into all causes, permeating every action on the ground and becoming an essential component of each one.
#Making the transition everyone’s business.
Our plan to get there...
Create a philanthropic movement and drive a collective philanthropy initiative to develop and share key tools for ecological transformation with the nonprofit sector.
#Working together to achieve systemic impact.
Our purpose
To help build a positive and inspiring narrative around the ecological transition to support the emergence of a committed, united, and sustainable society.
