Description

FORESTS ARE DISAPPEARING—THERE IS NOT A SECOND TO SPARE

Taking Action for Forests: Where the impact can be greatest, Planète Urgence empowers women and men to preserve forests and biodiversity through protection, restoration, and awareness-raising efforts.

Our manifesto

At Planète Urgence, we believe that the forest is a force, that it is a unifying element, that it brings us together, that it places us in a beneficial relationship over the long term, and that the fight for its protection must fully inhabit us,  that it helps us grow both through the resources it offers us and through the wonder it inspires in us. Acting for the forest means sustainably reconciling humanity with the planet.

Our three areas of focus

Our numbers:

  • 8 countries where we work (Benin, Cameroon, Cambodia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Madagascar, etc.)
  • + 22 million trees planted
  • + 11,000 volunteers deployed in the field
  • 128 partners support us

Planète Urgence works using a territorial approach, with local partners, and brings field expertise aligned with national and local public policies to address identified and formalized needs.

To ensure close proximity and a deep understanding of the local context and challenges, it relies on delegations based in the countries where it operates.
