About Us
Since its founding in 2004, the non-profit organization Bio Consom’acteurs has been raising awareness about issues and challenges related to local and fair agriculture and food, from farm to table. Beyond food, Bio Consom’acteurs supports the shift toward sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible consumption patterns that address the social, environmental, and economic challenges of today and tomorrow.
The Bio Consom’acteurs association works to promote food and agriculture that respect both people and nature: accessible to everyone, from farm to table!
Three main pillars form the foundation of its work: information, awareness-raising, and mobilization.
Our missions – our actions
To combat inaction in the face of environmental, social, and climate emergencies, numerous associations, collectives, local governments, and activists are mobilizing to raise awareness about agricultural and food issues. Bio Consom’acteurs is fully integrated into this ecosystem.
Food is a major lever for defending life; making it local, fair, and accessible to everyone is an urgent priority.
Educating the general public on organic-related issues, particularly through our website, our monthly newsletter, our presence on social media and at public events, as well as our communication tools (booklets, posters, infographics…).
Raising awareness among the general public, particularly children, about healthy and sustainable agriculture and food to support changes in consumption patterns through school visits, booth activities, workshops, and more.
We create educational tools for public outreach to raise awareness about the major issues of organic farming and fair trade, and engage with diverse audiences, from schools to universities!
Mobilize civil society, alongside the collectives of which we are a part, to hold politicians accountable, circulate petitions, organize assemblies, and participate in activist events…
