Expert in community composting

Since 2012, the Humus & Associés association has been dedicated to promoting and developing local composting in Haute-Garonne.  The association supports local governments, businesses, and citizens in implementing solutions for the recovery of their organic waste.

 Because there is a human element in humus (sharing an etymology with the words “human” and “humility”), the recovery of organic matter is a topic that can touch each and every one of us!

For us, whether driven by environmental concerns, a desire to spend time with neighbors, or to bring a touch of nature into the city, the reasons to compost are many, and the possibilities for what can be grown are endless!

Since its inception, Humus has also been involved in bringing together a network of professionals and citizens working on issues related to the reduction and recovery of organic matter.

Thus, our association is a key player in the implementation of the Citizen Compost Network, both at the national level and regionally with the RCCO.  This network of professionals and engaged citizens works in close partnership with ADEME to develop guidelines for best practices in the reduction and recovery of biowaste.
