GRAINE NORMANDIE: ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION IN NORMANDY
OUR PROJECTS:
Currently, GRAINE Normandie leads or hosts community projects, collectives, and working groups, and facilitates discussion forums.
Creation of an educational area: This is a small natural area managed collaboratively by students from an elementary school, middle school, or high school. Under the guidance of their teachers and an environmental education organization, students come together as a “children’s council” and make all decisions regarding their educational area.
In Normandy, there are currently 83 active educational areas (75 on land and 8 at sea).
Support for Sustainable Development: GRAINE coordinates a group of organizations trained to support sustainable development initiatives. Whether you are a school or training institution, a socio-cultural or sports organization, and so on, the network provides you with facilitators capable of adapting to your project.
Training workshops to: encouraging farmers
to change their practices promoting more energy-efficiency renovations in private
homes engaging more students and staff in a sustainable development initiative at a high school?
Training programs: GRAINE Normandie has been listed on Datadock since 2017 and obtained QUALIOPI certification in March 2022, specifically for implementing environmental and sustainable development education (EEDD) initiatives.
