Encourage and promote bicycle use in the Thau Basin region

La Roue Libre de Thau is a nonprofit organization founded in June 2015 by a group of residents from Sète and Frontignan who believe in the benefits of promoting cycling in the city to encourage mobility, improve quality of life, and foster human interaction.

Objectives of the association

• To encourage and promote bicycle use in the city of Sète and the Thau Basin region, ensuring it is practical, safe, and enjoyable.
• Contribute to public health by encouraging cycling, which provides daily physical exercise.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere around cycling through sharing, gatherings, training sessions, and repair workshops.
• Work in partnership with local stakeholders to increase accessibility to cycling.
• Support or initiate any action, initiative, or experiment aimed at defending the rights, interests, and needs of cyclists.
• Support any eco-mobility initiative that promotes regional development.

La Roue libre de Thau is a member of the Fédération des Usagers de la Bicyclette and participates in the Collectif Vélo Occitanie.

La Roue Libre de Thau Bike Repair Workshops

Sète 

The Sète bike repair workshop has been open since Wednesday, March 3, 2021, in partnership with Habitat Jeunes de Sète et du bassin de Thau. It is located on Impasse des Provinciales, accessible via Rue Pascal. Its hours of operation (closed in August): every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Frontignan

The Frontignan bike repair workshop is held:

• Every Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at our location at 14 Rue Pierre Brossolette in La Peyrade
• Every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in front of the Maison des Projets (at the intersection of Rue Victor Antherieu and Boulevard Victor Hugo).
