Activities

The farm’s grounds allow us to explore various themes (wild and cultivated flora, eco-gardening and agroecology, wildlife, composting, beehives, chicken coops, etc.) and tailor them to the specific audience by offering a variety of methods and approaches. 

ÉcolAlaferme

The farm welcomes daycare centers, elementary schools, and middle schools for school and after-school activities as part of partnership projects.

The world of plants.

• Identifying plants using the five senses.
• Discovering plants and their uses (edible, aromatic, medicinal, and dye plants…).
• Understanding the interactions between plants and their environment, and their role in the ecosystem.

Compost

• Discover various composting techniques, what sets them apart, and how to implement them.
• Understand what compost is and what it is used for.

All About Bees

• Learn about bees: their anatomy and life cycle, and gain a better understanding of their way of life, particularly as social insects.
• Discover life in the hive (composition, functioning, organization, etc.).
• Understand the role of the bee in its environment and in the ecosystem.

Birds

• Learn about the morphological characteristics of birds and their life cycle.
• Understand the role of birds in their environment and in the ecosystem.
• Discover and become aware of diversity among birds and biodiversity in general.

AnimaTerre

The AnimaTerre platform brings together several community education organizations active in the Croix-Rousse neighborhood to organize extracurricular activities.
