An organization spearheading a project to develop a cooperative and participatory store that promotes organic products
The idea behind La Cerise sur le Gapeau is simple: it is a non-profit, cooperative, and participatory supermarket, managed and governed by its members, for its members: the cooperative members.
Their active participation in managing the supermarket gives members access to affordable products, primarily sourced from sustainable agriculture and short, fair trade supply chains. High-quality food, produced in a way that respects the soil, water, and all living things.
That the people who grow and process our food and products are fairly compensated and work in decent conditions. That it is a place for exchange and sharing.
We have chosen to experiment by launching a buying group:- Establishing contacts with producers
- Testing products
- Training in the role of distributor
- Creating a space for exchange and interaction among cooperative members
HOURS 2:30 PM–6:30 PM (Tuesday through Friday)
9:39 AM–12:30 PM (mornings and Saturdays)
