Description

Our mission is to contribute to the ecological transition and to build a more united community by bringing together the residents of Dardilly to learn and take concrete action.

Our initial project:

After becoming aware of climate change, its causes, and its consequences, a small group of Dardilly residents decided to come together to discuss and take action locally.

Their first initiative, in late 2019, focused on community-based solar energy production. A meeting with an association specializing in this field (Toits en Transition) allowed the group to save time on the subject and, as a result, expand their scope of action to other areas (composting, mobility, food, etc.).

Our mission:
To contribute to the ecological transition and work toward a more united village by bringing together the citizens of Dardilly to learn and take concrete action.

Our approach:
To fulfill our mission, we rely on three pillars:

  1. Informing, raising awareness, and mobilizing the residents of Dardilly,
  2. Proposing solutions to local and metropolitan institutions,
  3. Carrying out concrete actions within the municipality.

Dardilly En Transition draws on the expertise of a network of stakeholders (associations, businesses, public entities) specializing in various topics, as well as on the diverse skills of its members.

Our vision:
We are convinced that building a better world—one that is more respectful of life and more sustainable—requires citizen engagement at the local level.
We dare to believe that, on the scale of Dardilly, we can contribute to this global change by inviting everyone to inform themselves and take concrete action.
We dream of a village where every resident of Dardilly would actively work to reduce their ecological footprint and contribute to Dardilly’s carbon neutrality by 2050.
We dream of a resilient and exemplary village that would ensure a peaceful future for all its residents (children, adults, and seniors).
