Since 2017, Le Bateleur has organized “Solidarity Jars” food-processing events several times a year. The goal of this project is to establish a solidarity-based food supply chain in the Rhône-Alpes region through the creation of a range of products distributed to social and solidarity-based grocery stores in the Rhône-Alpes region, as well as to local food aid organizations.
To achieve this, Le Bateleur works in collaboration with producers who donate surplus or unsold goods. A partnership has been established with La Passerelles des Vallées – Espace de vie sociale for distribution, as well as with the Accueillette association, which organizes gleaning and redistribution. These two organizations participate in the collective, particularly through volunteering—from gleaning to processing and all the way through to redistribution!
Upholding its ethics at every stage of its work, the team is committed to producing these jars in service of a thriving local community. Le Bateleur has earned the Nature & Progrès certification for its line of preserves, which commits the company to working exclusively with organic products!
Our jars are always available in St Pierreville, where the production facility is located; they are also available in many local stores… but you can also order them and have them delivered right to your door!
