Description

Solidarauto is a national nonprofit network founded with the aim of combating transportation insecurity in France.  Since its founding, our mission has been clear: to make cars accessible to everyone by offering reliable vehicles at affordable prices, along with maintenance and repair services tailored to each person’s budget.

In France, millions of people live in areas with little or poor public transportation service. Without a car, social and professional exclusion worsens. Solidarauto works to reduce this fundamental inequality by providing concrete, solidarity-based solutions.

Our model is based on a circular and solidarity-based economy:

  • Vehicles are donated by individuals, businesses, or local governments
  • They are refurbished in our solidarity-based garages,
  • Then resold to people in need at prices tailored to their situation.

This approach helps reduce waste, extend the lifespan of vehicles, and create a significant social impact in local communities.

The Solidarauto Federation organizes, coordinates, and develops the network at the national level. It supports member garages, ensures compliance with the quality charter, fosters synergies, and represents solidarity-based mobility to public authorities and partners

Each local Solidarauto garage is a full-fledged player, attuned to its local community. It works in collaboration with social service providers (CCAS, Pôle Emploi, associations, local missions, etc.) to identify beneficiaries and offer them tailored support.

Some figures

9 Solidarauto garages across the region

+ 1,500 vehicles donated each year

+ 1,200 beneficiaries supported each year

40% of vehicles reused
