The Œuvre d'eau association aims to promote the rivers in and around Lodève and to work toward environmental conservation
To promote the rivers
- we conduct regular cleanups of riverbanks (4 times a year) and seek solutions to address the waste problem (visits to the landfill, exploring zero-waste initiatives). Numerous cleanups have been organized since 2016, mobilizing more than 150 people and collecting tons of waste!
- we monitor water quality (tracking ongoing work, reporting sanitation issues, participating in the Big Jump)
- we learn about issues related to the river (floods, riparian vegetation...)
- we explore the river’s ecosystem
- we seek to improve the use of riverbanks in urban areas (walkways, installation of public furniture, etc.)- we organize an annual day of activities centered on the river
