Transportation issues are no longer a barrier to accepting a job or training opportunity! Since 2017, the éhop solidaires service has been proving its worth in Brittany. 

The éhop solidaires carpooling service: simple and effective—a success story!

Some people are at a loss for a transportation solution to accept an assignment, training, or a job interview.  Others make their daily commute alone behind the wheel and are willing to offer a seat in their car when the opportunity arises. éhop solidaires brings them together!

The concept

éhop solidaires matches the needs of people without a way to get to work or training with the legendary Breton spirit of solidarity!  This free service connecting carpoolers is available by phone with a friendly team on the other end of the line, or online for those who are more tech-savvy.

How does it work?

• A friendly, personal welcome—as simple as a phone call—available 5 days a week [9:30 AM–12:30 PM / 2:00 PM–5:00 PM]
• Supportive carpoolers ready to offer a seat in their car on their commute
• The éhop solidarity team receives requests and finds a carpooling solution
• When a match is found: éhop provides the driver’s contact information to the passenger

And it works!

• 633,897 km carpooled (15 times around the Earth!) Since the service launched
• 30,387 carpool trips for work or training.
• 1,867 people were able to get to a job, training, or an interview.
