Brittany Laboratory of Agroecology and Biodiversity

LAB² is a research laboratory specializing in agroecology and biodiversity based in Brittany. It conducts projects on soil management, the creation of mixed-species orchards, and eco-grazing. LAB² also raises awareness through training programs and public outreach initiatives.

LAB² (Brittany Laboratory of Agroecology and Biodiversity) is an association dedicated to the agroecological transition and the preservation of biodiversity. Based in Brittany, we bring together researchers, farmers, citizens, and enthusiasts to rethink agricultural practices and build a sustainable future.

Our mission:

· Promote sustainable agriculture: Develop resilient, resource-efficient, and environmentally friendly agricultural models.

· Preserve biodiversity: Take concrete action to protect and enrich agricultural and natural ecosystems.

· Innovate and raise awareness: Test agroecological practices, share our knowledge, and mobilize around climate and environmental issues.

Our actions:

· On-farm experimentation: implementing agricultural systems based on diversified farming, agroforestry, soil regeneration, and self-sufficiency (water, seeds, inputs).

· Environmental monitoring: fauna/flora inventories, biodiversity indicators, soil and water quality, landscape dynamics.

· Production of scientific data: rigorous protocols, field surveys, and open data sharing (INPN, etc.) to disseminate our findings.

· Research partnerships: collaboration with universities, local governments, independent researchers, and committed organizations.

· Support for public policy: contribution to regional projects (ZAN, SAGE, PAT...), support for decision-making through clear and reproducible indicators.
