Description

The association is developing an innovative agroecological farm in the Lyon metropolitan area, working to combat injustice and various forms of exclusion, and to promote equality and the empowerment of women.

Terre de Milpa is…

A Work Integration Workshop focused on organic market gardening since November 2022

We offer personalized support and professional opportunities to unemployed individuals facing social and professional challenges.

The specific focuses of Terre de Milpa’s support are:

  • A focus on environmental issues and nature, of which we are a part
  • A diverse team with at least as many women as men participating in the integration program
  • Specialized support addressing issues faced more specifically by women
  • A governance structure that fosters collective intelligence, quality human relationships, and everyone’s participation in the project

A third place that nurtures, a space for gathering and sharing around cooking

The farm is a place for raising awareness, sharing, and experimentation around healthy, accessible, and sustainable food.

This is primarily achieved through cooking workshops that highlight everyone’s skills, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and healthy eating.

We offer solidarity baskets at reduced prices for low-income households, contributing to food accessibility for everyone.

An ecological and social third place, an educational farm open to the world

The farm aims to be a living space open to its surroundings, a place for experimentation, work, empowerment, and collaboration that helps address humanity’s many current challenges, including the preservation of our planet, gender equality, and the fight against poverty and discrimination.

Every month, we organize a participatory work project with volunteers from diverse backgrounds (vegetable farming, DIY, various tasks, etc.).

We welcome students as part of their coursework, as well as interns and volunteers wishing to participate in the project

The farm also hosts cultural events and holds open houses at least twice a year during festivals
