Founded in 2012, the organization works in the field of environmental education—by and for the environment—with people of all ages.
As advocates for community-based education, nature interpretation, and tree conservation, Biloba’s educators champion hands-on field experiences as opportunities for both individual and collective learning for people of all ages.
Biloba is a small organization with two full-time staff members, supported by a dedicated team of passionate volunteers!
During the summer months, the team expands to include young volunteers to meet its energy needs
Nature and the wild have so much to teach us.
By discovering living creatures and how ecosystems function, we come to understand diversity, complexity, complementarity, and otherness.
Among the many topics to explore: wildlife (mammals, amphibians, birds, invertebrates...), natural habitats (forests, aquatic and rocky environments, soil life…), workshops to promote biodiversity, eating without waste, cooking with wild ingredients, and exploring the connections between nature and health…
Tree lovers, we are delighted to introduce young and old alike to the wonders of this world
Our activities are open to everyone, with no age or fitness requirements. We tailor the content, approaches, and techniques to our participants: children as young as preschool age, students, adults, seniors, people with disabilities, patients… Nature and trees are beneficial to everyone.
Depending on requests and projects, we offer scientific, sensory, playful, and mindful approaches…
We guide you through nature year-round, in all seasons—this rich and mysterious world. Structure, function, role in the ecosystem, identification, hosts…
Since 2021, we’ve been organizing a large celebration at the end of the school year to bring together people of all backgrounds and generations around the shared heritage that trees represent.
Artists, scientists, climbers, children, adults, artisans, the curious, amateurs, and professionals come together for lectures, exhibitions, performances, activities, markets, and concerts to celebrate trees in a friendly atmosphere.
