Description

The Bois de l’Utopie is intended to be a peaceful retreat where visitors can reconnect with nature, echoing our childhood dreams, in the spirit of Théodore Monod’s definition: “Utopia is not the unattainable, but merely the unfulfilled.”

The Bois de l’Utopie is a wooded area of nearly two hectares located next to the hamlet of Parlanges, in the municipality of Chabeuil.

Purchased by Philippe Rouvière in 2004, the Bois de l’utopie has gradually become a welcoming place for friends, an ideal spot for gardening and recharging one’s batteries amidst nature.

Today, the Bois de l’utopie is defined as a Village Square.

And in this village square, we find:

  • guest cabins: People come to these cabins to recharge, to disconnect from our increasingly fast-paced society… to take the time… to enjoy nature…
  • a Compost Bistro: (Open every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.) A community initiative where you can learn how to make compost, manage a chicken coop, and garden.
  • Farmers’ markets: Once a month, about twenty farmers gather at Bois de l’utopie… People come to listen to musicians and can eat on-site. These market days are true moments of relaxation and camaraderie.
  • Health and Wellness Professionals: Currently, about thirty professionals provide services at Bois de l’utopie, either weekly or monthly.
  • Services for businesses: Two training rooms are available for companies to host seminars, meetings, or various workshops. A fully equipped 80-square-meter room and a 32-square-meter room, nestled in the heart of nature, offer an unparalleled work environment.
