HISTORY OF THE ASSOCIATION: Why this project?

When HÉLIOSE was founded in 1978, its visionary founders asserted that the rational use of energy is the foundation for humanity’s optimal integration into its environment. Based on this assertion, enshrined in its statutory purpose, the association brought together citizens from all walks of life—activists, entrepreneurs, academics, researchers, and more.
They dedicated themselves to promoting renewable energy; then, in the 1990s, in response to the expansion of nuclear power, they pragmatically shifted their focus to energy conservation.

HÉLIOSE’s think tank welcomes associations, institutional representatives, researchers, and, more broadly, all citizens eager to exchange knowledge and compare ideas within a dynamic of collective intelligence to foster projects aimed at changing daily behaviors, with the goal of contributing to a “planet of better living.”

EXAMPLES OF THE THINK TANK’S ACTIVITIES

As opportunities arose—most often spontaneously—we have been channeling our “energy” and experience for the past two years to support various projects and initiatives. All of them contribute to ensuring the humanistic and ecological transition we aim to promote.

We have contributed to the planning and development of various organizations:

• “À tout cœur,” an association supporting parents of children with muscular dystrophy.
• The company “ACCTÉES,” which develops alternative and responsible consumption models.
• The Forez Énergie Citoyenne association.
