Récup'R is a recycling center that promotes waste reduction and reuse through participatory and community-based workshops.
These workshops encourage self-repair in sewing and bicycle mechanics. In the workshops, members find
the tools and advice they need to repair their bikes or clothing and learn how to give objects a second life.
You can buy bikes to repair, repaired bikes, and fabric scraps...
Located in Bordeaux Belcier, these spaces are staffed by employees and volunteers. The association promotes DIY, social interaction, and mutual aid
Récup’R collects everything related to sewing, from haberdashery to textile work: from a simple needle to a sewing machine, including haberdashery supplies (thread, wool, ribbons, bias tape, buttons, zippers, etc.). We do not accept clothing (there are already organizations dedicated to giving it a second life), but we do accept fabric scraps and remnants…
WORKSHOPS
Bike Self-Repair Workshop
Récup’R promotes “Vélonomie” (self-reliance in bike repair).
During workshop hours, members have access to:
Sewing Workshop
At the workshop, no rigid sewing classes, but the tools to become self-sufficient—from operating a sewing machine to mending and all kinds of creative projects.
Thursdays are for group sewing from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
THE SHOP
Entirely stocked by Récup’R members, the shop is full of diverse and surprising items. We also take orders but do not offer alterations. Récup’R is first and foremost a recycling center. As such, it gives new life to everyday items… (making objects from plastic tarps, inner tubes…)
