A group dedicated to making cycling accessible to everyone (workshops, community-based transportation initiatives, etc.)

Syklett is a collective dedicated to making cycling accessible to everyone!  To achieve this, we offer a variety of activities: bike repair workshops, cargo bike rides, mobile workshops in the city’s priority neighborhoods, corporate outreach programs, and many special events!

  Our missions:

- Bike Repair Workshop: L’Abri Syklett is our collaborative and community-driven bike workshop, which has been welcoming members to repair their bikes since 2016.  With the advice and guidance of staff, civic service volunteers, and other volunteers, members repair their own bikes.  This helps them gain greater independence in their mobility. The workshop also accepts donations of bicycles and spare parts from the public.  These recovered bicycles are either repaired or, if repair proves impossible or too complex, disassembled and recycled.

- Cargo bike rides: Happy Syklett is an electric cargo bike ride program for people with limited mobility and/or the elderly. About thirty motivated volunteers pedal the bikes.  Each year, approximately 100 rides are organized, benefiting 500 people.
