A cooperative connected to nature and rooted in local culture, bringing our passion for the OUTDOORS to life

We founded the Nid Ô Sol Cooperative with the goal of preserving a place where the natural environment is protected.

This place will also be a space for welcoming others, exchanging ideas, sharing, and passing on local heritage, where we can bring our passion for the OUTDOORS to life with as many people as possible; because the better we understand Nature and its environment, the better we can protect it.

Nid Ô Sol represents the foundation of our project: 

To create experiences in a calm, restful, and fulfilling environment for each of us, while expanding access to nature for all, promoting education about the natural environment, and raising awareness of ecology and heritage. 

We aim to become an active part of local life, helping to create a vibrant dynamic in the region while fostering a community-centered, intergenerational space that respects Nature—and, by extension, humanity.

To remain consistent with Our Values and to Live in Simplicity, we have created an Ethical Charter that every person—whether a year-round resident or a tourist—must sign in order to access the property.

OUR ACTIVITIES:

Rental of Plots for Workshops / Events

We make our land, tools, equipment, a barn, and a teepee available... In short, we offer a space in the heart of nature to anyone who could use it! We can also co-create projects with you! Always subject to compliance with our charter.

Group Gatherings, Family Reunions, Team-Building Seminars, Other Organizations, etc...

Come share wonderful moments together, BE OUTDOORS, play cooperative games, tell stories around a campfire, build treehouses, reconnect, or just unwind!

Educational Farm: project in progress! 

For children of all ages, we offer activities centered on exploring the mountain pastures, from making sheep’s milk cheese and caring for a chicken coop to brewing magic potions while learning to identify edible plants in the garden and outdoors! For families and tourists, we are currently creating an educational trail that will be open 365 days a year!

• We work in partnership with local farmers and artisans to promote local traditions.
• We provide them with plots of land so they can be as close as possible to the animals and build connections among everyone involved in local life.
• We take in rescue animals, either until they find a family or for the rest of their lives! 
• The vegetable garden will be tended by the permanent staff as well as by visiting children and families from the village, so everyone participates, learns, and enjoys the harvest!

Mutual Aid

We’ve created a Mutual Aid group in the Village and want to give anyone who needs a helping hand a place to ask for it! This could range from moving a table that’s too heavy, to rebuilding a roof frame, or even mending a pair of jeans with a hole in them! We’ll provide the Cooperative’s equipment if needed!
