Description

It is a nonprofit organization established under the French Law of 1901, whose mission is to contribute to the transition toward a more humane society that respects all living things.

It’s a third place that houses a grocery store, a café, a shared garden, a recycling center, and plenty of good cheer!

It is a social project that seeks

  • to foster intergenerational relationships (bringing together young and older residents, developing mutual support, organizing opportunities for knowledge exchange, etc.)…
  • to reconnect families at a time when everything is moving faster: taking the time to share as a family over a cup of hot chocolate, a board game, gardening or DIY workshops…  and support parenting (discussion sessions, conferences…).
  • to contribute to local economic development by supporting activities in the village with the goal of creating jobs that cannot be outsourced.

It is a sustainable project

  • which connects producers and consumers through group buying and the grocery store. This reduces the need for middlemen, transportation, and packaging…
  • which aims to develop a food garden that also serves as a venue for educational activities and relaxation for our visitors.

It is a cooperative project:

  • which carries out its activities through collective intelligence using a cooperative governance model.
  • which proposes taking action not only within our municipality but also across our region by fostering citizen cooperation through emerging networks, active members, and local partners.

Our actions:

  • - nature club workshops
  • - grocery store and group buying
  • - the café
  • - the mini-market
  • - the shared garden
  • - the bread oven
  • - the recycling center
