The Charente Organic Farming Association

Founded in 1992, MAB 16 brings together producers, processors, distributors, environmental organizations, and consumers with the goal of sustainably developing organic farming in Charente.
It unites the department’s organic farmers, who all share the same objective: to develop and promote organic farming in our region.

Our missions

Representing and defending the interests of organic
farmers: regulations, CAP applications, tax credits, support for conversions and new operations...

 Promote and support the development of organic farming
Support organic conversions and new operations in Charente (conversion assessments)
Facilitate exchanges among farmers on organic practices (individual technical support for organic producers or those in conversion + facilitation of discussion groups)
Train producers in organic farming techniques (100% organic advisors)
Obtain certifications (trials, assessments)
