Description

1. Covered soil: Let’s mimic what happens in the forest!

In agroecology, we always work with permanent ground cover (dead leaves, BRF (ramial chipped wood), straw, etc.).

This plant cover:

  • · Limits water evaporation, thereby reducing the number of waterings,
  • · Helps establish and restore soil life,
  • · Prevents surface soil compaction and maintains its structure,
  • · Keeps the soil cool
  • Provides shelter for microfauna
