There are more than 1,200 Oasis projects in France. They are listed on a map shared by the Oasis Cooperative and Habitat Participatif France. This map is jointly managed by the two organizations under a CC-BY-SA open license.
Across France, citizen collectives are creating new ecological and community-oriented spaces known as eco-hamlets, participatory housing, collective farms, third places… We call them oases.
The Oasis Cooperative supports those who live or wish to live in these ecological and collective spaces, the oases.
It introduces people to the reality of the thousands of projects existing today in France, and offers the opportunity to stay there or settle in.
It supports those who want to create their own community.
Finally, the Oasis Cooperative creates connections between these communities so that they become aware that they are part of a genuine network they can rely on. In this way, it fosters the emergence of a different way of life—a way of inhabiting the world that is more intense, simple, and joyful.
