Today, the association has about fifty members, the vast majority of whom live in the village. “I’m from here; everyone already knows me or my parents, which makes it easier to be accepted!” explains Stéphanie.
There’s no shortage of activities in this former farmhouse. In December 2018, Festikulti was the first cultural event organized, featuring a small concert, a storyteller, dancing… Cultural workshops followed, led by people who volunteered: a ceramics workshop by a retired woman from Strasbourg who donated all her materials to Multikulti; workshops on writing, sewing, and sophrology…
The garden came a little later, with the creation of a pond, a mandala-shaped garden, and the renovation of the chicken coop to house a painter’s studio… “This summer, we’re planning a community work project to insulate the building with reeds, earth, and straw,” Stéphanie continues. “These projects bring together all generations; I love these moments.”
In 2021, a cultural café opened to give locals a place to gather. In the meantime, Stéphanie delivers her bread every week, along with 25 baskets of vegetables from two young biodynamic farmers in the neighboring village.
