La Minoterie is the somewhat crazy challenge that residents of Marcillé-Robert (35) and beyond have taken on: to renovate the town’s old mill, which burned down a few years ago, and turn it into a vibrant community space.
We are an association founded in 2018, with the goal of renovating the historic heritage site known as La Minoterie and the ambition of turning it into a community hub. While waiting for this project to come to fruition, the association has begun bringing the space to life and has organized its first “Éphémères” events, which have been a real success.
During the months of June and July, we opened a bar in shipping containers, created a local farmers’ market on Friday evenings, and offered free performances on Sundays. We will continue the Éphémères, and new projects are in the works for the coming year.
