Our ethical commitment
Fundamental ethical values define the conditions of engagement for promoters, members, and contributors.
FOUNDING VALUES
Every individual, regardless of their origin or situation, has the right to a healthy environment, a fair and equitable society, and a more sustainable future. We know that the consequences of climate changOUR e disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations, who are nevertheless the least responsible for it. Meanwhile, the overconsumption of natural resources, fuelled by an unsustainable economic model, is exacerbating this ecological and social crisis. The Ekolo Mundo association’s commitment is based on the values of justice, fairness and solidarity, which guide its actions. These values guide our mission for a more respectful, supportive and sustainable world. Here are the pillars of our commitment: Ethical commitment: Every project undertaken by Ekolo Mundo is guided by a deep sense of ethics, whether in terms of transparency, justice or respect for individuals and local cultures. Respect for the environment and biodiversity: We firmly believe in the preservation of natural ecosystems, species and resources. Every initiative undertaken by Ekolo Mundo is designed to minimise its ecological impact and raise awareness of the importance of protecting our planet. Solidarity and cooperation: Unity is strength. We value local and international partnerships to strengthen communities, promote knowledge sharing and achieve our common goals. We advocate active mutual aid, where everyone contributes to building a better future.INDEPENDENCE AND PROTECTION OF THE PROJECT
Ekolo Mundo works for the common good. In its governance and actions, it ensures its independence from political parties, public institutions, religious movements and private interests, in order to guarantee respect for its associative project and its freedom of initiative. In order to carry out Ekolo Mundo’s project and be open to a diversity of contributions, it is imperative to guarantee the association’s independence. Ekolo Mundo is a non-denominational, apolitical and non-discriminatory association. This is why Ekolo Mundo prohibits access to constituted bodies such as- Cults
- Political parties
- Religious organisations
- Any other organisation that would come with the aim of promoting its own interests and diverting Ekolo Mundo from its primary purpose as defined in its statutes.
LES POSSIBILITÉS DE FINANCEMENTS ET DE PARTENARIATS
Ekolo Mundo takes steps to ensure that it remains vigilant regarding the origin and use of the funds it receives. This ethical charter is intended to govern partnerships and commercial and non-commercial relationships that may be established between Ekolo Mundo and a private-law collective entity. It therefore applies to partnerships, skills-based sponsorship, joint communication operations, and all commercial contracts entered into as part of day-to-day operations. 1°) In the public sector: All public bodies and local authorities that respect our values may be approached for partnerships. 2) Sponsorship and companies under the same general conditions as contributing organisations Ekolo Mundo may not enter into partnerships or have commercial or non-commercial relationships with entities whose activity (majority or minority) falls within the following sectors or which do not respect Ekolo Mundo’s founding values:- Arms industries
- GMO and chemical input industries
- Tobacco industries
- Fossil fuel industries
- Nuclear industries
- However, the capacity of companies to evolve will be taken into account, in order to reflect their willingness to genuinely and progressively move towards more virtuous practices.
- It will therefore be possible to accept contributions from companies that have sufficiently initiated this change, even if they still need to continue this evolution.
ETHICS COMMITTEE
An ethics committee will be created on 1 January 2026, composed of members with an annual mandate and external figures recognised for their ethical, social and environmental commitment. This committee will be responsible for:- Ensuring that Ekolo Mundo does not promote any form of domination or discrimination

- Monitoring the association’s operations on an ongoing basis to ensure that they comply with the founding values defined in this charter
