Preservation and Promotion of Drystone Masonry

Volubilis is committed to preserving and promoting dry-stone masonry, a traditional technique recognized for its cultural and environmental benefits.

As the coordinator of the 2024–2026 Erasmus+ project, the association is leading a European cooperative project aimed at fostering the exchange of expertise and establishing a common methodology for professionals seeking to incorporate dry-stone masonry into their development projects.

Volubilis is coordinating an Erasmus+ project to preserve and pass on dry stone masonry techniques by developing a methodological guide and an online training course, while collaborating with partners to promote this heritage in rural areas.
